I heard something interesting today…
Once again a citizen gets punished as if they were a “bad” child. I remember a time when I wanted to improve my property while the neighbor chose to neglect his property. I was served notice that I must pay the government $800 for permission. I was punished and told it was the law, and the bureaucrat was just following orders. I think that’s what the war criminals said about following Hitler’s orders. “It’s my job.” When will we stop punishing each other in the name of someone else?
After a newspaper published a front page article about a tiny house built by hand, the County bureaucrats went after these innovators and builders for some “violation.” The County order-followers who have been “authorized” by you, the electors, are punishing people that are trying to create affordable housing for themselves. They are not forcing anyone else to live there or build like they choose. They are just proactive about solving the problem of housing for themselves.
Aren’t we punishing the wrong people? Didn’t this nation decide punishment was unacceptable?
