No good reason to summarily occupy school gym for two hours

March 1, 2016 by Guest Post

Early on Congress fought about the issue of refugees from Syria. Days later Dean of the Montana Senate, Senator Fred Thomas, sent a letter about refugees from Syria to 55 Montana Legislators. Pretty soon came reports that big bucks were maybe being skimmed off by outfits that process refugees. Like Catholic Charities. Lutheran Services. And President Obama demands thousands more refugees from Syria. And Bullock said Montana is ready for some.
And Missoula County is getting serious about providing refuge to people driven out of their homeland in Syria. (Driven out by warfare financed by the House of Saud, deployed by Russia, financed and supported by the USA; while ISIS made millions by stealing crude oil and selling it to brokers in Turkey.)
And now the right of assembly has rocked Ravalli County.
The right of assembly of parishioners, with their leaders, to use the right of speech to critique select teachings from the Quran.
The right of assembly of pro-gun, pro-conservative activists.
The right of assembly of people who share print and online news sources.
The right of the people who support the man who lives up to his name. Mr. Trump.
Truly an assembly of diverse people but with common values, and bonded more by Pledging Allegiance to the Flag. Bonded even more by being allowed to clap after speakers spoke. Maybe as much clapping time as talking time. A bonded pep rally, with featured speakers.
However, you might well wonder what eavesdropping kids thought about that, into the second hour of what turned into a political rally. You might well wonder what teachers and kids along the three routes from the auditorium to the gymnasium thought while a hundred unfamiliar people marched down the hall. Were there exposed empty holsters?
Did the Commissioners get rolled? Get set up?! Should have seen it coming: A big turnout! 5% of the people who voted in the 2014 Primary Election.
If the word got out KPAX would film, an extra hundred people would show up! Especially if they knew who would be speaking for them, in open assembly, to the Commissioners, also to the public record.
From what I now know, both the Commissioners and the organizers unnecessarily and unfairly caused the two-hour plus, summary occupation of the school.
