It was asked, “Why would I believe a Muslim?”
I ask, why would I believe a Christian or want them in this country? I have read the Bible that says to stone homosexuals, to destroy nations of unbelievers, and to cut off body parts. I have personally been harmed by “Christians” far more than any Muslims have harmed me! Christians have no room to talk about Muslims until they cast the log out of their own eye. The crusades come to mind. Hitler was a Lutheran. The Christian Right has been silently infiltrating politics in this country and growing louder and bolder.
It seemed to be implied recently that since “scientists,” the military, and the Pope BELIEVE in climate change, it must be TRUE. I ask, why is it so important that you convince me like a proselytizing Christian would? I am not convinced; there are other scientists that do not believe in climate change. Funny, in the 1930s “climate cooling” was the propaganda of the day. Regardless of how I believe on climate change, I can still care for the planet. Isn’t that the real issue rather than forcing others to believe like you think we should believe?
I am wondering, does car registration stop accidents? It seems to me that it extracts a fee from the car owner and transfers it to the government. Would gun registration stop murder or make the government richer? It seems to me that history shows that gun registration is the precursor to gun confiscation IF or when a government wants to rid the nation of private ownership of guns. The criminals and the government are still in possession. This does not sound safe to me! One reason the second amendment was included in the constitution was because they had first hand experience with gun confiscation by the British. Where would America be today if the British had their way?
