Bitterroot Valley Urgent Care, located at 1230 North 1st Street in Hamilton, is locally owned and operated by husband and wife, Greg and Cyndi Hutton. The clinic first opened on August 17, 2015. Dr. Hutton treats the patients and Cyndi works the front counter, helping patients check in. Dr. Hutton has been practicing medicine for the past 25 years and is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Hutton has also served as the Director of Hospice of Missoula.
So why open an Urgent Care Clinic in Hamilton now? Dr. Hutton and Cyndi recognized the options for Urgent Care were limited for those who didn’t want to drive to Missoula, leaving the local Emergency Room as one of the only options for the people of Hamilton and Bitterroot Valley to be seen right away. The two wanted to help bridge the gap in the Valley for those who needed treatment right away, but did not necessarily fit the criteria for a trip to the ER. A trip to the emergency room is not always fully covered by insurance companies and getting treatment for minor illness at an emergency room can be timely and costly to the patient. A core value of Bitterroot Valley Urgent Care is to provide quality, affordable, health care to their patients.
Bitterroot Valley Urgent Care treats patients of all ages and specializes in minor illness such as flu, colds, minor breaks and stitches, and sports and DOT physicals. While the clinic does not bill insurance companies, oftentimes patients can be reimbursed by their insurance company for a visit. Visits to the clinic are affordable and walk-ins are always welcome. Dr. Hutton and Cyndi strive to listen to their patients and help them get quickly back to a healthy life.
