The Bitterroot Bookworms would like to thank the community for their awesome support for the Stevensville Christmas Share Tree Chair-i-ty silent auction that finished Friday, December 6. The generous winners of the auction donated a total of $1100 towards this year’s Share Tree program. This money will be matched by the Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation, and will go a long ways towards providing gifts of warm clothing and shoes for our needy children. We would also like to thank the businesses that displayed the chairs for us, allowing for a month long auction: The Burnt Fork Market and the Blacksmith Brewery in Stevensville, Chapter One Books and Cutting Loose in Hamilton. We are very appreciative to the hosts for the Art Auction Gala: Rob and Kate Lutzenhiser, who created the environment for a warm and festive evening. The program would not have been as successful without the help of local newspapers getting the word out: Thank you, Bitterroot Star and Ravalli Republic!
