The Florence Lady Falcons continued to win at the Western B Divisional tournament in Libby. The team has not lost a match this year. They will play Colstrip at 2pm on Thursday at the state tournament in Bozeman. Colstrip is the No. 3 seed from the east. Other teams participating are Huntley Project, Choteau, Thompson Falls, Red Lodge and Fairfield. Forsyth is the 2014 state champion.
Florence won their first three matches in three games each. Sabrina Hopcroft dominated at the net, with an average of 16 kills per match. Jessica Dufresne and Megan Kowalski contributed at the net with blocks in every match. Setter Rylie Hawkins was the general on the floor with an average of almost 40 assists per match.
The championship match between Loyola and Florence was the only one that went over three games. After dropping the first game, 22-15, Florence came back to thump Loyola, 25-9, 25-19, and 25-13 to win the championship.
