I would like to reply to the letter “Not Serving Us” by Marty Essen.
After reading this letter, I want to say, way to go, Congressman Zinke!
Finally more and more Congressmen are standing up for the majority, instead of cowering down to the uninformed and weak minded.
For thousands of years the Middle East has had tribal wars over its people’s human rights, property, education and freedoms.
Mr. Essen is showing no respect for the Iranians that are caught up in the Iranian regime. They are power mongers, and have to be replaced before any deal can be made.
I, too, would like peace, but the so called deal that our current Administration has struck is not a deal, but a submission to those whom want war against the U.S. There is nothing gained from this so called deal that would secure the world from the Iranians’ tyranny. As for the few people that want this deal, they are uninformed or they refuse to look at the facts. I hope and pray that this deal goes down in flames, and the people of Iran speak out as a majority against this Iranian regime, so that the world can help them in replacing it with people who truly want to change and live in peace.
We are not the aggressor. Iran’s leadership doesn’t even want this deal. Americans don’t back down from tyranny
As for Mr. Essen’s comments regarding the oil industry and the military contractors, I would invite him to explain how this comes into play in his thinking. What does it have to do with this bad deal?
I respect his opinion, because I live in the U.S.A., where we have representation and where he has the right to speak his mind freely. I doubt if he were living in Iran that he would get the same respect.
I will conclude my letter with the note that I am proud of all our representatives, no matter how they see things.
