The Hamilton Broncs boys golf team won their own tournament on Saturday after winning the Butte Central Invitational in Fairmont on Friday. The Hamilton girls finished second to Frenchtown both days.
Max Toenjes of Hamilton shot a 71 at the Hamilton Golf Course to lead the pack. He also was the at the top of the leader board on Friday when he shot a 78 and edged out Butte Central’s Tyler Yelenich by one shot. At the Hamilton Invitational, Josh Heath of Hamilton was second with a 73. Blaine Wetzsteon finished sixth with 83. Heath was fifth at Fairmont and was followed by Wetzsteon and Ky Burch.
Stevensville’s Jayce Painter shot an 82 in Hamilton and finished in fifth place. Zel Frost was 10th. Frost finished ninth on Friday.
On the girls’ side, Hamilton’s Sydni Rose won both tournaments. She shot a 96 on Friday at Fairmont. On Saturday, she shot an 86 to take the title. Teammate Melissa Kimp shot a 93 on Saturday in Hamilton and finished second. She was sixth at Fairmont. Liz Roberts finished seventh with a 108.
Madeline Servoss of Stevensville finished 10th at the Hamilton Invitational.
