On a balmy fall evening my son Craig drove me to see the newly created Bear Mountain Playground in Stevensville.
The entire park was full of families, one group watching soccer while another group enjoyed the play area. Summer activities include baseball games played near the town swimming pool.
Oh yes, one block east older citizens are served meals five days a week at the Senior Citizens’ Center and also where the Meals on Wheels program originates. The center is also used for many community events.
Kudos to community volunteers, and to community leaders, for creating and supporting such a fantastic area for people of all ages. Wow, what a wonderful town!
