Hats off to all those who made the Bitterroot Secret Garden Tour such a success August 8th! To Becky Homan, Karol Klakken May, Deborah Bedey, Katrina Mendrey, Sue McCormack, and Kielian DeWitt, who planned the tour and fundraiser benefitting the Bitter Root Humane Association, I offer my sincerest thanks for a “charming tour.” To Nansu Roddy, Jean Israel, Kielian DeWitt, Bill and Virginia Kindzerski, and Susan and Mark Behrman, gardeners par excellence, who opened their home gardens to ticket holders, I express both my heartfelt thanks and my gratitude for their generous hospitality. Each of their gardens was every-bit eye candy and an entertaining education wrapped into one well-organized and memorable event. To those Master Gardeners, BRHA volunteers, other behind-the-scene individuals, and ever-generous sponsors who contributed to the tour, I also express my appreciation. And lastly, to the ticket holders, whose generosity provided the source of funds donated to the BRHA, thank you, thank you, thank you for turning out — I’m sure the pleasure was all ours.
