The Florence Volunteer Fire Department would like to thank the entire Florence community for making this July 4th holiday a safe and fire free event. No fires or injuries from fireworks were reported in the Florence Fire District.
The Florence Fire Department held their ninth annual community potluck dinner and fireworks show. The start of the fireworks was delayed due to a computer malfunction experienced by the pyrotechnics company. The membership of the fire department regrets any inconvenience the delay may have caused to the many people who attended this event.
With the continued High fire danger, the Florence Volunteer Fire Department reminds everyone to please be extra careful and that Stage 1 fire restrictions are in place until further notice.
