Stevensville – Frederick Daniel Heil passed away on Saturday, July 11th, 2015. He was the youngest of five brothers, son of Mavis and Walter Heil, born in Essex Junction, Vermont.
Fred was an avid reader, outdoorsman, musician, map maker, chess player, and computer programmer/user. He was a ham radio builder/operator in the 1970s, and was nearly always self-taught in his various hobbies and endeavors.
A graduate of Essex Junction Educational Center in 1974, Fred went on to attend McGill University in Quebec and State College in Framingham, Massachusetts. Some years later, he received his Masters Degree in Business Administration at Wayne State University.
He travelled America extensively in his work as computer/technology consultant and loved experiencing the geographic and social diversity that is our America. He was a lover of great music, literature, history, cooking, wildlife, and nature. He and his wife Monique avid horse people enjoyed exploring the terrain surrounding their Montana home.
Fred is survived by his wife Monique, father Walter, and four brothers: Steve, Ken, Lee, and Eugene; and long time friends Chris and Deb Long. He leaves three children from a previous marriage, Sarah, Elanor, and Moses.
Fred was a loving husband and father, a true friend, and a genuinely good man. He will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved him.
