Florence competed in the District 6B track meet. The top five finishers in each event advance to the Western B Divisional that will be held this weekend in Missoula at Dornblaser Field.
The Falcons’ only win for the girls was the 1,600 relay where they blew away the rest of the field with a time of 4:26.30. The team was made up of Danica Greer, Autumn Round, Ally Rust and Alexis Taulbee. Round finished second in the 400, third in the triple jump. Greer was second in the 800. Taulbee finished second in the 100 hurdles and second in the 300 hurdles. Rust was fifth in the 100 hurdles. Abby Brett finished fifth in the discus and Jada Hunsucker finished second in the javelin.
Connor Thorne won the high jump with a leap of 6’1”. Caden Venters won the javelin with a throw of 170’4”. Cameron Weber was sixth in that event with a jump of 5’6”. Justin Jones was fifth in the 3,200. Jethro Thorne finished third in the triple jump. Bridger Dragoo tied for second in the shot put and was fourth in the discus.
