Remove Burrows

October 15, 2014 by Guest Post

During the primary election, we, the citizens of Ravalli County, voted overwhelmingly to remove two of our commissioners, thus beginning the process of bringing sanity back to county government. After numerous embarrassments, culminating with the treasurer’s debacle, hopefully things will soon improve.
Unfortunately, the job is only partially done, with incumbent commissioner, Jeff Burrows, still in the running for another term. Burrows was a crucial part of approving the Legacy Ranch monstrosity, dumping woman’s health care, and throwing the treasurer’s office into chaos!
After reading Burrows’ recent comments in the Missoulian (Sept. 30), it is clear Burrows still has not learned what the job of a county commissioner is, which is to mind the county’s business, instead of meddling into state and federal issues.
Re-electing Burrows will mean more of the same of what we’ve been through. While it’s been entertaining, it’s definitely not what I’d like to see in county government.
If you like the dysfunction that’s been going on, then by all means, vote for Burrows. But, if change is what you desire, it’s time to finish the job, clean house, and sweep Burrows out the door!
