Downtown Stevensville has a new look! The North Valley Public Library needed new paint so we looked for colors that would tie together our three buildings and complement those of the other buildings on Main Street. The Design Committee of the Main Street Association offered their professional advice for highlighting some of the architectural features of the three buildings, and the façade now makes them more visible. You can clearly see the original lettering “R. H. Rasmussen” at the top of the old Rasmussen building and the accents of each building. We chose colors to complement each other and to reflect the historic nature of our town. We are pleased that our buildings now enhance the look of Main Street and believe they will help provide a warm and welcoming approach to our library.
Many thanks to Jim Vitale and Mark Pinkal of JFV Construction for their great work on the façade and to Phil Henderson of Stevensville Hardware for donating paint. We are grateful for everyone’s support and will continue to work to ensure that the library is a valuable resource for the entire community and a comfortable and welcoming place. Watch for improved heating this winter and air-conditioning next summer! We intend to refurbish the Community Room with new paint, carpet, and furniture, and once that work is completed, we will hold an Open House to invite all of you to see how we are improving the library to better serve your needs.
