Once upon a time in a small mountain kingdom there dwelt a woman possessed by hubris. One year during the time of choosing, her minions declared they must choose her to hold dominion over the kingdom and to also choose a troll to rule by her side. And so it came to happen and she became known as the Queen of Arrogance and with the Troll by her side she held sway over the kingdom and all the subjects therein.
She soon began to surround herself by persons of her choosing to positions of power and with the Troll by her side no one could stand in her way.
When the subjects of the kingdom questioned the competence of these persons, the Queen of Arrogance roared, “Silence, fools, who dares question my authority and wisdom?” Even the sheriff of the kingdom was heard to proclaim, “Forsooth, methinks the Queen is mad.”
Finally it came to happen that the time of choosing was once again approaching and there arose a great murmuring among the populace. It was decided by many subjects of the kingdom that they must gird their loins and go forth to do battle by whatever means available to defeat the Queen of Arrogance and the Troll. And so it came to happen that many subjects of the kingdom ventured to the dark side and brought about defeat to the Queen of Arrogance and the Troll.
Many of the Queen’s minions cried that foul deeds had taken place, but it was over and soon the Queen and the Troll will be only a memory and many subjects of the kingdom will rejoice.
