The City of Hamilton is preparing a Downtown Master Plan to guide the future of its historic business district, with the help of consultants from Marketek, Inc. To help the City prepare the plan, and to gain insight from residents and critical downtown stakeholders, a public meeting will be held on Thursday, February 20, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Community Room of Hamilton City Hall, 223 S. Second St.
Come share your thoughts on the heart of Hamilton, and hear about best practices in successful downtown development from Mary Bosch, of Marketek, Inc. Planning and Economic Development, and Sandy Fischer, of Fischer Bouma Partnership. They’ll invite participants to share their vision for the future of the downtown, while describing possible steps that downtown Hamilton could take to improve its visual appearance, marketability, and economic vitality.
They also invite community members – shoppers, visitors, residents, and business people – to complete two surveys, one for shoppers, and the other for business owners. Both surveys may be accessed via links on the city’s website, www.cityofhamilton.net, or directly at:
https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/hamiltonshopper and https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/hamiltonbusiness.
The surveys will be held open until March 7, 2014.
