Thanks to the Bitterroot Star for great investigative reporting! If it weren’t for Michael Howell’s research, the commissioners would still be acting like they are helpless in the face of our county’s financial crisis. As it is, they are currently paying the treasurer for a nice vacation while our county business remains halted. I for one will pay at least the same as a yearly subscription rate to the Bitterroot Star, our FREE newspaper, to keep that investigative reporting coming. The Star is the ONLY local paper that investigates like this. Why don’t you think about supporting that effort as well?
