Tompkins & Peters CPAs, P.C. is pleased to announce the addition of John De Groot, CMA to its Hamilton office. John is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and brings a wealth of knowledge to the firm, having an extensive background in the banking industry.
John relocated to Montana, after being honorably discharged as a Sergeant from the U.S. Marine Corps in 2004. Upon moving to Montana, John went to work for his family’s business, Big Sky Candy, which is located in Hamilton. After graduating from the University of Montana with a bachelor’s degree in finance, John worked as a commercial loan officer, a branch supervisor, an asset-liability management analyst, and vice president of finance. In his free time,
John spends time with his family, studies, exercises, and stays involved in the community through the Bitterroot Valley Detachment of the Marine Corps League and Kiwanis International.
John enjoys the opportunity to meet with entrepreneurs and learn about their businesses and specific accounting needs. Tompkins & Peters is very excited to have John as a part of its team of professionals.
