Stevensville – Richard Dexter Brown, 84, of Stevensville, passed away on Sunday, October 6th at his home from cancer.
He was born May 4, 1929 in Sioux City, Iowa to Glen and Marion Brown. After graduating High School in National City, California, Richard joined the Army. He was a Construction Engineer and served during the Korean War.
He was a Plumber by trade. If you had a plumbing problem, he could fix it, no job was too big for him.
He enjoyed dune buggying at the Salton Sea and Yuma sand dunes; cruising the Colorado River on his pontoon boat and he really loved being in Montana.
Survivors include his wife, Dolores, Stevensville; two sisters Patricia and Betty and two brothers Jerry and Gene; two daughters Sharon Thompson (Terry), Stevensville and Karen Mayor (Picon), San Diego; three stepsons Robert Snaith (JoAnn), Dale Snaith (Julie), Brian Snaith (Dusty); six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
