The Bitterroot Star and KLYQ Radio are sponsoring municipal election debates for all candidates in the Hamilton and Stevensville municipal elections this week. Steve Fullerton of KLYQ will serve as moderator.
The Stevensville Candidate Forum is scheduled for Wednesday, September 18, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Senior Citizen Center located at 100 Mission Street. There will be moderated debates with questions posed by each candidate, by the news media and the public.
Candidates for office in Stevensville participating in the debate include candidates for Mayor, incumbent Gene Mim Mack and former Councilor Clayton Floyd; candidates for Council Ward 1, incumbent Robin Holcomb and former Councilor Paul Ludington; and candidates for Council Ward 2, Paul Courteau and James Crews.
The Hamilton Candidate Forum is scheduled for Thursday, September 19, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at Hamilton City Hall located at 223 S. 2nd Street. There will be moderated debates with questions posed by each candidate, the news media and the public.
Candidates for office in Hamilton participating in the debates include candidates for Mayor, incumbent Jerry Steele and Kathleen Driscoll; candidates for Council Ward 1, incumbent Melvin Monson and Kristi Bielski; candidates for Council Ward 2, Travis Martinez and Rod Pogachar; candidates for Council Ward 3, incumbent Lynette Helgeland, Kenneth Bell and Stacy Lewis.
