The Hamilton Downtown Association wishes to thank all of the people who participated in our 2013 Daly Days activities, both those who attended and those who worked to make it happen, all resulting in a highly successful celebration.
In particular, we’d like to recognize the hard work of our Daly Days coordinator, Patti Martin, who with Michele De Groot and others put together the package of events, vendors, and publicity; and Mike Barrett, who arranged the Friday night Street Dance and started the popular “Buy Local” Auction. The Hamilton Soroptimists and the Bitterrodders Car Club livened up both ends of Main Street with fun events, and KLYQ’ s Steve Fullerton and Mike McConnell staffed an information tent in the middle of it all. Main Street merchants pitched in by keeping the trash cans from overflowing, and dozens more volunteers, too numerous to name, added their efforts to make it all a fun, hometown weekend.
We encourage people to shop, live, and give locally, and at Daly Days people could do all three, within a three block section of Main Street! Supporting local businesses, non-profits, and events builds a stronger community, one that we’re happy to call “home.”
We hope to see you again soon, downtown—where Hamilton happens!
