Ronny S. Groff, 76, of Lolo, Montana passed away at home on July 22, 2013.
Ronny was born on April 15, 1937 in Victor, Montana to Forrest (Fuzzy) and Hilda Louise Groff.
He grew up on a ranch on the West side of Victor and attended schools in Victor where he met his future wife Patricia in grade school. He served four years in the Navy and after his honorable discharge he married and settled down in Victor, Montana. The family later moved to Lolo, MT. Ronny was married to Patricia A. Dwyer for 54 wonderful years.
Ronny worked for Hoerner Waldorf Paper Mill and University of Montana in Missoula, Montana until his retirement in 1998. He enjoyed fishing, backpacking with his son, was an avid snowmobile racer in his younger years, loved coaching his daughters and watching his children play softball. He was very involved in his children’s 4-H projects as they grew up and had a very large gun collection that he loved buying, selling and trading. Ronny also loved and saved many animals over the years.
Ronny is survived by his three children, Debbie (Chris) Krupa of Alaska, Stacey (Les) Meinzen of Florence, Montana and Kevin (Debbie) Groff of Phoenix, Arizona; six grandchildren, Joe Krupa, Jordan, Garrett and Carson Groff and Ramey and Hunter Meinzen.
Ronny is preceded in death by his wife Patricia (Paddy) as well as his parents Forrest and Louise Groff.
