The Queen and her Royal Court return! Let it be known across the land that the Big Sky Renaissance Faire will take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 28-30 near Stevensville.
Just north of the hamlet of Stevensville in the kingdom of Montana, in an open meadow along the Bitterroot River, lies a land of imagination where jousting knights, regal ladies, saucy wenches, a Faerie Queen, witches, nobles, peasants, and the court of the Queen of the Faire mix with history buffs, fantasy lovers and families.
Fairgoers, many of whom are dressed in period costume – are immersed in the music, language, merchants and entertainment of the era. There will be excitement galore as Order of Epona knights and ladies joust and perform on their magnificent horses and the group Warlord fights in full armor for the chance to rule the kingdom! Visit the gypsy encampment or the Renaissance history exhibit by the Ravalli County Museum. Pay an executioner to haul your friends off to the stocks or help Robin Hood escape the sheriff. Pose for a photo with the dragon, faeries and troubadours. Join musicians, storytellers, street performers, witty shows, and improvisation troupes. Nosh a turkey leg while imbibing some beer, ale or mead!
Stop in at the vale for the amazing Queen’s Feast — enjoy a four-course dinner, private entertainment and the Queen’s court: Friday, June 28, 7 pm. Tickets $35. Tickets to the Faire are $6/day for adults, $3/day for children under 12. Families and weekend passes are discounted. Vendors and entertainers may dry camp along the Bitterroot River for $5 per person.
