County Commissioners: I have lived in the Bitterroot since the early 70’s and watched the slow development, such as Hamilton as a two-lane tree-lined street turn into the strip, making it look like any other US of A town. So these 40 plus years have shown me that we as a community can keep that small town feel or NOT. I say let’s keep a slow low growth place. The whole idea of Legacy Ranch Subdivision, the size, the location impacting wildlife, and impacting agricultural land, must go away. Check on Legacy’s impact on agriculture. The impact on Lone Rock is so huge and that community definitely does not what this development to happen. The sheriff’s office will have to hire many more officers to cover this rapid population growth. The schools and fire departments are hugely affected.
If you want the Bitterroot Community to be behind you, then make this proposed development go away. We will support you in this decision.
