If our five Ravalli County Commissioners stay true to form – tone-deaf to the concerns of the citizens who elected them and fawning on the big-money developers – then the Legacy Ranch sub-division will be a part of our future whether we like it or not. So let’s stop complaining and get on with our lives. Since now is the right time of the year for healthful salads enjoyed in the great outdoors, I would like to share with friends and neighbors a treasured recipe for Legacy Ranch Salad Dressing that the developers of Legacy Ranch, Don and Alexandra Morton, might like to serve at a community picnic sometime soon. The amounts given will serve five. Just multiply each of the ingredients for larger numbers of guests.
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
3 tablespoons extra virgin snake oil
3 heaping teaspoons of greed
1/2 cup of avarice
3 pieces of gall
1 stick of contempt
1 teaspoon of Morton’s salt [do not use generic brands]
Mix all the ingredients thoroughly and serve over a mixed salad of skunk cabbage, poison ivy leaves, and bitter herbs.
