On October 30th, I was unloading my two horses at the Larry Creek Trailhead when I had a serious accident. After unloading the first horse, I was inside the trailer unlatching the gate that kept the second horse confined, and the next thing I was aware of was my laying in the mud about 5 feet from the back of my trailer, covered with a nice blanket, and two ladies standing over me.
Apparently these fine ladies heard the commotion at my trailer and came down to find me unconscious and looking more dead than alive. They called 911 and two ambulances and the Sheriff were there when I came to.
My wife took me to the ER at Community Hospital and a C Scan revealed I had suffered a subdural hematoma (bleeding of the brain) and was kept overnight.
I have no recollection of who these ladies were, however, I want to let them know how much I appreciate their thoughtfulness and help. Hopefully, I will be riding again soon and they will recognize me and make themselves known to me. I pray for a special blessing and Happy Trails for them.
