Resources on Fire: DNRC engines, Florence Fire Department water tender, and a 20-person Type 2 Initial Attack (IA) hand crew (Grayback).
Narrative: Firefighters will use an engine and water tender to get keep water flowing through their hose-lay and will spend the day mopping up the edges of the fire, working towards the interior. Strong winds and low humidity are expected this afternoon.
Special Concerns: Safety of firefighters and the public is always a primary concern. The fire is on a steep ridge in rough terrain. Roads near the fire are narrow.
Cause: This fire is under investigation. It is likely a human-caused fire.
