This is a letter in support of a candidate who’s running for the position of Clerk of District Court in the upcoming 2012 election. Her name is Maureen Draper Presswood.
Maureen has been employed in the Clerk of District Court’s Office in Hamilton for the last 20 consecutive years. I have known Maureen (or “Mo”) for 13 of those years, since 1999. The current Clerk of Court is retiring and leaving a vacancy that needs to be filled by someone who is competent, motivated, intelligent and resourceful. Maureen is that person. She is a leader who can take the Clerk of Court’s office in a positive direction.
I urge the voters to please be informed. Know who you’re voting for. My hope is that you vote with me on June 5th for Maureen Draper Presswood for Clerk of District Court.
