After seeing Fred Thomas’ campaign signs for over seven weeks now, with the road to nowhere, I am reminded of the line from Lewis Carroll’s classic “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.” “If you don’t know where you are going, any road will get you there.” Well, fortunately, many of us remember the road Thomas led us down 14 years ago. To people new to Ravalli County, research Thomas’ SB390, which took us from third lowest energy costs in the nation, to fourth highest.
To see further proof of Thomas’ ties to business, travel a 1/4 mile north of the Stevensville “Y.” There, you will see at Mid-Valley Center, his campaign sign conveniently nestled under the McNulty Chiropractic and above the Espresso sign. Guess he is open for business.
To see what damage Thomas wrought in 1998 with his deregulation bill, I urge anyone with a conscience to view the PBS documentary “Power Brokers,” which will be shown May 30 at the Darby Public Library at 6:30. With Fred Thomas, what you see, is what you get.

Not knowing Mr.Cuslidge I would simply say that knowing the very liberal ties of PBS I would question the veracity of any documentary they show. “Business” is not a dirty word, business is the back bone of a thriving nation. What I know of Fred Thomas is a man who is kind, friendly, a good businessman, intelligent, willing to answer questions and I believe sincere in his desire to be a public servant at the State level.
