I have sent the following to our Congressional delegation.
Gentlemen:
I know that you’re all involved in the current election cycle and other affairs of state. However, I also know/hope that all of you are aware that Montana’s high court has upheld the ban on election spending by corporations <http://www.greatfallstribune.com/article/20111231/NEWS01/112310303>. On behalf of our family, I/we urge you to vigorously support any and all efforts to repeal the Citizens United ruling. Hopefully the recent deluge of unaccountable cash in Iowa is sufficient proof that this ruling was terribly wrong and a heinous example of judicial activism. In closing, we understand that Representative Jim McGovern (MA) has introduced a bill to effect this change. Assuming his bill doesn’t get killed like so many other noble efforts, I ask that our Congressional Delegation stand united against Citizens United.
