The Ravalli County Board of Commissioners reached an all time low last Friday when they fired Road and Bridge Department supervisor Ohnstad. Apparently he is being made the scapegoat to cover their gift of over $40,000 in road work to their developer friends the Sardots for their ”road to nowhere”.
Actually, the commissioners have killed two birds with one stone. Not only do they have a scapegoat but also a new political plum to hand out to another of their cronies. In the coming weeks look for changes to be made to the job description for road and bridge supervisor. I predict the job description will be dumbed down to fit the qualifications, or lack thereof, of their candidate. Look for words like ”coordination” and ”communication”.
