The County Commissioners have appointed five members of the public to serve on the newly created Strategic Economic Development Committee. The committee is charged with gathering information on the current economic infrastructure of the valley, identifying and assessing the major economic players, and finally designing a strategy for economic development in the county.
Newly appointed committee members include Teri Polumsky, a real estate broker who serves on both local and state real estate boards; Fred Thomas, insurance agent and former legislator; Dan Floyd, retired manufacturer representative; Kelsey Milner, retiree and current President of Bitterrooters for Planning; and Scott Henderson, President of First Interstate Bank.
