Corvallis’ Colby Henderson and Chase Stocker finished in 20th and 21st place at the Mountain West Classic in Missoula with times of 15:53.0 and 15:35.9. The event featured teams from Spokane, Coeur d’Alene as well as the top teams from across Montana. Held at the University of Montana Golf Course, the event gave the in-state teams a preview of the state championship race in a couple of weeks. Corvallis finished 10th in the boys team scoring. Mount Spokane of Washington won the boys team scoring. Hamilton was 17th.
Doug Raymer of Darby finished in 28th place with a time of 15:59.8. Other top 100 finishers from the Bitterroot were: 48. Easton Albert, 16:19.7; 57. Madison Bolton Florence/Big Sky, 16:26.3; 64. Anthony Schmalz, Ham, 16:31.8; 68. Morly Jessop, Cor, 16:35.2.
Corvallis finished sixth behind Bozeman in the girls team scoring. Sadi Henderson led the Blue Devils with a 9th place finish. She crossed the finish line in 18:27.9. Other Corvallis finishers in the top 100 were: 32. Isabella Pape, Corv. 19:29.2; 53. Kaycie Stewart, Corv. 20:02.4; and 72. Lakyn Connors, Cor, 20:24.8. Hamilton’s Sara Amish had a time of 20:30.0 and finished 80th.
