DESCRIPTION:Spend National Public Lands Day along the scenic Lochsa River at Wilderness Gateway Campground. The Selway Bitterroot Frank Church Foundation and Nez Perce-Clearwater NFs will be removing and replacing damaged puncheon bridges on the Bird Watching Trail #195\, as well as cutting brush with loppers and/or handsaws. Heavy lifting included. \nNational Public Lands Day is the nation’s largest\, single-day volunteer effort to benefit public lands. Your contributions will help ensure that public lands remain accessible and beautiful places for all to enjoy. \nDETAILS: \nSCHEDULE: 9 AM – 3 PM PACIFIC STANDARD TIME \nTRAILHEAD: WILDERNESS GATEWAY CAMPGROUND\, HIGHWAY 12 \nRATING: EASY-MODERATE \nBRING: work gloves\, sturdy hiking/work boots\, long pants and long-sleeved shirt\, and water.
