DESCRIPTION:A DAY OF GIVING \nFor 51 years\, the Bitter Root Humane Association (BRHA) has been serving our community by taking care of homeless and stray animals\, while keeping pets and their people together through our free Community Pet Pantry service. BRHA will be participating in Bitterroot Gives\, an online day of giving May 4 – 5. SUMMARY:BRHA's "PET TAG DAY"
DESCRIPTION:HELP YOUR PET FIND IT’S WAY HOME! \nSadly\, statistics indicate that missing pets rarely find their way home. Approximately 10 million pets are lost or stolen in the United States each year and more than 6 million winds up in the nation’s animal shelters.  Given that dogs and cats in shelters without ID are much less likely to be reunited with their owners\, identification is the only way these lost pets will find their way home. \nThe Bitter Root Humane Association wants to reduce those sad numbers and in celebration of “National Tag Day” will be offering reduced prices on micro-chipping and engraved ID Tags.  Saturday\, April 1st from noon to 4pm\, the public may purchase engraved ID tags for $5 and have their pet micro-chipped for $10…or both\, with no appointment needed!  For your pets safety please have all dogs leashed and cats crated when entering the building. \nToday and every day\, make sure your pets are equipped in the event they get separated from you.  It can be truly heartbreaking to lose a pet\, but by tagging and micro-chipping you are more likely to reunite with your four-legged family member! Our cat rooms and dog kennels are full with “furry love” of every breed\, color\, size and personality just waiting for their forever family to find them. \nWhy spend another Valentine’s Day alone…BRHA is here to help you! Running Saturday\, February 11th through Saturday\, February 18th\, our adoption fees for adult dogs & cats is being reduced with an approved adoption application; fees for adult dogs $100.00 and adult cats $50! These discounted fee prices also include our “Cat Buddy Program”\, where you can adopt two adult cats for the price of one. Community members age 55+ are eligible to adopt a senior pet\, seven years of age or older\, under our “Senior to Senior” Program with fees waived completely.  All the adoptions include spay/neuter\, vaccinations\, micro-chipped and engraved ID tag! \nIf you’re ready for love\, have room in your heart & home\, now is the PURR-FECT time to adopt your new lifelong friend.
