DESCRIPTION:Wings Youth Volunteer Program\nThe Wings Programs Equine Rescue & Sanctuary is starting a youth volunteer program that will run through the summer. Do you love horses and donkeys and want to learn more about caring for them? Wings is hosting young volunteers the 2nd and 4th Saturdays through August starting May 10. Young volunteers will spend two hours each session doing various ranch chores and projects and one hour learning about horses\, including horse handling\, exercise\, feeding and nutrition\, hoof care and grooming.\n\nVisit our website at www.wingsprograms.org/volunteers.html to fill out an application. A parent or guardian must accompany you on the first visit to sign paperwork. Sessions will go from 10am to 1pm. The event is Saturday\, Sept. 17\, 10am-2pm at the Ravalli Fun Center in Hamilton. We’ll have lots of activities\, including a unicorn bouncy house\, face painting\, balloon animals\, Likety Split Ice Cream\, decorating our mini horses\, and getting your photo taken with the horses. It’s fun for the whole family! The Wings information booth will include pictures and stories about our rescues\, a silent auction for gift baskets\, Wings t-shirts for sale and a chance to sign up as a volunteer to help the horses. The Ravalli Fun Center is located at 300 Skeels Ave. in Hamilton\, behind Tire Rama.

DESCRIPTION:Do you love horses and donkeys? Are you looking for a way to connect with others while helping your community and enjoy the beauty of Montana? The Wings Program in Corvallis is looking for more volunteers. We have a small core group of dedicated volunteers who need more help. As a volunteer with The Wings Program you will be helping us with rehabilitating and transitioning horses and donkeys to new homes\, and supporting the sanctuary equines that are not available for adoption for various reasons. We have a variety of volunteer needs including daily chores\, mucking\, feeding\, grooming\, walking and socializing equines\, ranch repair and various projects. \nOur next volunteer orientation is Saturday\, March 19\, 2021 from 10-11:30am.
