DESCRIPTION:Our Savior Lutheran Preschool is throwing a BBQ! To celebrate the start of preschool\, the Church invites registered students and their families—as well as families interested in registering—to enjoy hamburgers and hotdogs and all that good stuff. On Thursday\, August 26\, come from 5-7pm to check out the school while children play and meet new friends while someone else runs the grill. Dinner is served at 6pm.\nStevensville’s Our Savior Lutheran Preschool classes begin September 7 for three-year-olds and September 8 for fours. Parents may call 777-5625 weekday mornings Monday-Thursday for information or call Joyce Andrade anytime at 369-2536. \nOur Savior’s early childhood program is designed to develop socialization and basic skills in boys and girls\, ages three through five. Games\, songs\, books\, playtime\, projects\, and activities\, promote skills\, relationships\, and a hunger for learning. The children interact with new people and new activities that lead to being ready for kindergarten. Best of all\, they will find what they are craving—new experiences\, new ideas\, and new friends.\n Our Savior\, affiliated with the Lutheran Church––Missouri Synod\, is located at 184 Pine Hollow Road\, south of Stevensville off the Eastside Highway. Proceeding past Burnt Fork Market and beyond Burnt Fork Veterinary Clinic\, at the curve\, turn east onto Pine Hollow Road. Cross the tracks and the canal\, and Our Savior will be on your left\, marked by three crosses.

SUMMARY:Women Only - Introduction to Defensive Handguns
DESCRIPTION:August 28 & September 11  2021  \nThis 2 day course is for women with little or no experience with  handguns\, who may be frightened of handguns or who are considering acquiring a handgun. \nThe first day course is designed to assist you in choosing the right handgun – for you. It will also introduce you to the facilities of the Whittecar Range. \nThere will be discussions on handgun safety\, basic operation of revolvers\,semi-automatic handguns\, and the cartridges used in each type of handgun. \nThe legal aspects of the use of force will be presented and discussed. \nHandguns will be provided so that you may handle the different types and models. Ammunition will also be provided for a live fire session on  . A self defense book\, specifically for women\, will also be provided. \nThe second day course will teach basic defensive shooting using the students own equipment. Safe gun handling will be taught and stressed. \nWe will discuss  various types of ammunition and the performance of each type. \nThe class will be held at the Whittecar Range on Blodgett View Road. \nThe class is limited to 10 participants. \nFor an application or further information call Lee at 642-3590 or Jim at 360-8392. \nSuccessful completion of this two day course meets the education \nrequirements for application to the state for a concealed carry permit. \n  \n  \n  \n
