The Parade of Lights\, strolling Victorian carolers\, bonfires\, wagon rides\, a live nativity scene\, antique toys and crèches at Historic St. Mary’s gift shop\, the model railroaders running trains\, visits with Santa\, and special events in stores all over town—it will be quite a night.Non-profit groups can set up booths downtown. However\, check with the merchant nearest where you plan to set up to be certain that another group has not reserved that spot.Once your location is determined\, call the Stevensville Main Street Association at 777-3773\, to notify them of where you will be.

Caroling led by Stevensville High School Choir. Parade will commence at 6:30 p.m. to 3rdand Main where there will be a Living Nativity and reading of the Christmas Story and more caroling. Cookies and hot chocolate will be served. Afterward\, enjoy horse-drawn wagon rides\, open houses at many businesses and visits with Santa in the foyer of the Kohl Building behind Valley Drug. \n

Take this time to reflect and remember those we’ve lost during this holiday season. Gather with Hospice Volunteers and enjoy their homemade soup\, bread\, and baked goodies in the Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital conference rooms Blodgett and Canyon View. The reception will be followed by a ceremony of reflection\, sharing\, music\, and remembrance\, and at 7 p.m. the lighting of the Hospice Christmas Tree. You can honor your loved ones during this special time of year with a light or ornament in their memory. Your donation helps Hospice continue to meet patients’ needs during their end-of-life journey. For $5 or more you can have a loved one’s name remembered with a light on the Tree of Lights; for $15 or more you will receive a beautiful ornament for you or someone you select on your holiday tree; for $100 or more you will be recognized as a Tree of Light Sponsor and receive a letter of appreciation; for $250 or more you or your business will be recognized as a Beacon of Light on your letter and in Hospice publications. Shoppers can tour the cookie tables and choose their favorites in any quantity (sold by the pound) and stock up on all the other individually priced sweet treats of pies\, cakes\, breads and candies\, and of course\, there will also be goodies for our four legged furry friends! To round out the event\, some great gift and decorating items\, including unusual cookie jars and tins\, handmade holiday stockings\, holiday jewelry\, beautiful decorated “live” swags and potted South African Amaryllis plants along with whimsical pet items will also be on the sale tables to treat yourself or all those lucky folks on your holiday shopping list!
