DESCRIPTION:A Home Buyer Education pre-purchase class will be held Saturday\, July 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Bitterroot Valley Board of Realtors building at the corner of 4th and Cherry streets in Hamilton. The Bitter Root RC&D provides the only HUD-approved Home Buyers Education pre-purchase classes in Ravalli County. Sara Ann Briggs\, its Housing Counselor\, is HUD-certified and NCHEC (NeighborWorks Center for Housing Education and Counseling) certified in five focus areas. All presenters are local professionals in lending\, real estate\, home inspection\, etc. The cost for the in-person class is $75 and includes the one-on-one financial counseling session required prior to taking the group class. \nAttendees must attend the entire session on Saturday (8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and participate in a one-on-one intake and financial counseling session to qualify for the certificate. This fulfills the education requirement of government insured or funded loans such as VA\, FHA\, MT Housing\, NeighborWorks\, USDA Rural Direct and Guarantee\, etc. for first-time home-buyers. \nParticipants must be fully registered by Wednesday\, July 3\, at 3 p.m. This includes payment in full and return of all completed paperwork. All counseling sessions must be completed by Monday\, July 7\, at 7 p.m. Call 406-363-5450 to reserve your space today and have the required paperwork emailed or mailed to you. The one-on-one may be completed with a phone appointment and is included in the cost of the Home Buyer Education class. Payment in full is required to confirm space and may be made by cash\, check\, money order\, or MasterCard or Visa. The one-on-one cannot be scheduled until after payment and completed documents are received. If potential attendees are financially challenged\, partial scholarships are available for those who qualify. DESCRIPTION:Bitterroot Quilters Guild will hold their Bi-Annual Quilt Show on Saturday\, July 13\, from 9 am until 6 pm. This year’s show\, Diamonds in the Root\, will be held at 520 Diamond 3 Road\, Hamilton Heights Road at Wilcox\, Corvallis. Hundreds of quilts will be displayed outdoors at this unique property on the east side of the Bitterroot Valley. There will be raffles and concessions available on site. Admission is just $5 per person at the entrance. \nThe Bitterroot Quilters Guild promotes quilting and friendships among individuals who are interested in quilting. The Guild provides opportunities to share individual projects and become inspired by the work of others. Membership is open to all. \nThe Guild also gives generously by providing donations of quilts to children in trauma and to others who need a ‘hug’ in Ravalli County. The Quilts 4 Kids Group makes quilts that are placed in the sheriff’s and some fire vehicles and distributed through organizations like Emma’s House. Captain and crew are prowling about\, pillaging for captives and treasure so they can repair the ship and be on their way. This might be a good time to learn to pray! Our Savior Lutheran Church’s Vacation Bible School program this year teaches children how to pray the perfect prayer the Lord Jesus taught His disciples. Each day the children will learn and understand another segment of the Lord’s Prayer so that in the end\, those words will have deep meaning and bring true peace as they pray. \nBible school will be held from July 15-19\, from 9 to 11:30 a.m.\, Monday-Friday. Come between 8:30 and 8:45 on Monday\, the 15th\, to register your children before that day’s class. A nutritious snack and drink will be served midmorning\, daily.
