DESCRIPTION:The Lolo Community Center is holding a Haunted House Fund Raiser starting October 27th and running through October 31st. This fundraiser is geared to help raise funds for much needed upgrades to the Center. The main focus of the Lolo Community Center is to help anyone who needs it in the Bitterroot Valley. In doing so\, they have started their own food bank that is open to everyone. It is open the first and third Wednesday of every month. When funds allow they also help those in need with electricity bills or firewood. Additionally\, if they cannot provide help they try to guide people to other helpful resources to get their needs met. If people would like to get involved with this organization they meet Wednesday nights at 6 p.m. the first and third Wednesdays of the month. \nThe Community Center is still looking for items to build the haunted house\, people to help build the set and volunteers to act. Items they are looking for include 2x2s 2x4s\, plywood\, black plastic or tarps\, screws\, foggers\, black\, grey and white latex paint\, and paint brushes. The Bazaar is being held by the United Methodist Women at the church on Saturday\, November 2nd from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.  \n    The Bazaar will feature collectibles\, holiday gifts\, homemade crafts\, slightly used treasures and a silent auction of unique items. In addition\, the UMW will sell cakes\, pies\, breads\, cookies and a variety of other baked goods.  Homemade cinnamon rolls and coffee plus homemade soup will also be served during the Bazaar.  \n    All of the profits from the Bazaar will go to the charities supported by the Stevensville United Methodist Women from the church which include  the Food Pantry\, the Clothes Closet\, the Genesis House and the public schools backpack food program in Stevensville\, the Wesley House in Missoula\, the Intermountain Home for Children in Helena the Blackfoot United Methodist Parish Mission in Browning and others in the region.

That’s what the 2019 nonpartisan Co-op Campaign Academy offers to prospective candidates and campaign workers. \n  \nMontana’s Credit Unions (MCU)\, Montana Electric Cooperatives’ Association (MECA) and their national counterparts the Credit Union National Association\, and National Rural Electric Cooperative Association are joining forces to host a nonpartisan Co-op Campaign Academy to arm you with the tools you need for a successful political campaign. \n  \nThis training is beneficial to anyone considering a run for local office (city council\, mayor\, sheriff\, district judge\, etc.) or state legislature. Even those assisting as a campaign manager or volunteer coordinator can gain useful information for the campaign they are supporting. No matter the level of office you are running for or the party you are involved with\, we will provide you the proper resources to help you in your political journey. \n  \nThere are three training dates and three different locations to choose from- November 4-5 in Missoula MT\, November 6-7 in Helena MT\, and November 8-9 in Billings MT. \nThe cost for the Co-op Campaign Academy is $110 per registrant.
