DESCRIPTION:Bitterroot Audubon’s October Zoom meeting will feature a presentation on mate choice and sexual selection in birds by Ivan Phillipsen\, creator and host of the podcast The Science of Birds. Ivan will discuss a fascinating\, complex aspect of the biology of birds: mate choice and sexual selection. Sexual selection is a special case of natural selection\, when females and males choose their partners\, not at random\, but based on specific traits. Such traits include plumage color\, song\, and behavior. Sexual selection of mates has resulted in some spectacular features in birds. For the disposal of medications\, we will not accept any syringes\, needles\, or marijuana products\, and for the disposal of Vape and E-Cig products\, please make sure to remove any Lithium batteries before disposal. DESCRIPTION:Travelers’ Rest State Park will reduce its hours slightly for the fall and winter season beginning September 1. The park also has a variety of special weekend and evening programs lined up for the fall.\n\nFrom Sept. 1-May 1\, 2022\, the park gates will be open to vehicles from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. daily. Pedestrian entrances are open from sunrise to sunset every day of the year. DESCRIPTION:Laundry Love Hamilton invites our homeless and Low-income neighbors to bring their clothing into Fast & Fluffy to wash them for free. We supply laundry detergent\, fabric softener\, quarters\, and hygiene bags. When you call\, text message\, or message through either Facebook or website we will need to know your first name\, the day you would like to come in\, the size of your family\, and how many loads you have. When making an appointment we just need to know the day requested. There is not a specific time you need to come in that day with the exception of all laundry must be in the machines no later than 7:15 pm. All supplies are delivered by 8:30 am to allow flexibility for our guests to come in before/after work\, while children are at school or when you have a ride. No proof of income is needed.
