DESCRIPTION:Bitter Root Back Country Horsemen host their monthly meeting on Thursday\, September 19th at the Corvallis High School Library. DESCRIPTION:Bike Walk Bitterroot will be hosting a community conversation on bicycle and pedestrian safety in the Hamilton area on Thursday\, September 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Bedford Building\, 223 S. 2nd\, Hamilton. The purpose of this meeting is to hear from community members on what they see as being priority issues surrounding bicycle and pedestrian safety whether that be infrastructure\, policy\, education\, or just a problematic intersection or street that is unsafe for biking and walking. The group hopes to work with meeting participants to identify problem areas\, discuss locations in the community that need safe non-motorized connections\, and discuss potential solutions to improve the safe mobility of pedestrians and cyclists.\n\n“Our goal is to hear from the community where we can concentrate our efforts in working towards a community where everyone feels safe and comfortable riding or walking to school\, work\, the grocery store or just out and about exercising\,” says Bike Walk Bitterroot board member Amy Fox.\n\nBike Walk Bitterroot will use the information they gather to work with local city\, county and school officials to improve bicycle and pedestrian safety in and around Hamilton.\n\nBike Walk Bitterroot is a local chapter of Bike Walk Montana and advocates for safe non-motorized transport across the valley and infrastructure for improving pedestrian and cyclist access to both rural and urban destinations.\n\nFor questions or additional information email bikewalkbitterroot@gmail.com.
