The Bitterroot Star online calendar is only for community events that are free and events that would be fundraisers for local non-profit organizations.
When submitting an event, be sure to include date(s), time, venue (location), and organizer information. Your event will not be published if any of this information is missing. We review all events before we post them. This may take up to 2 business days.
Join the Bitter Root Water Forum for the Bitterroot River Clean-Up on Saturday, August 10th! Volunteers are assigned stretches covering all 155 miles of the river from Sula and Painted Rocks to the confluence at the Clark Fork in Missoula. You can help by walking or floating a stretch of the river during the clean-up. Clean-up bags and gloves will be available at all valley fly shops and at the Water Forum office at 178 S. 2nd Street in Hamilton during the two weeks leading up to the event. Feel free to use your own supplies as well. You are welcome to begin and end your clean-up effort at any point on the 10th. You’re encouraged to drop your trash between 4 and 6 p.m. at Hamilton’s Kiwanis River Park and stay for a complimentary BBQ! Fun prizes will be awarded at 5:30 p.m. For more information or to sign up go to http://www.brwaterforum.org/bitterroot-river-clean-up
