Returned Peace Corps Volunteer Potluck
Calling all Bitterroot Returned Peace Corps Volunteers! You’re invited to a potluck on Tuesday, Aug. 25 at the historic El Capitan Lodge at Lake Como, about 17 miles from Hamilton. All Western Montana RPCVs (and family members) are welcome, but we’re particularly reaching out to the Bitterroot Peace Corps community, who may not regularly attend the Missoula-area gatherings.
The potluck will run from 5-9pm, but if you have the flexibility to arrive earlier, plan to take advantage of the excellent hiking, mountain biking, and water recreation opportunities at Lake Como. The area is managed by the Forest Service, and a recreation pass is required for all parked vehicles; day passes may be purchased at the lake or at Bob Wards in Hamilton, but all federal park passes (Annual, Lifetime, etc.) are honored as well.
The El Capitan Lodge is a private facility, owned by the Hamilton Hikers Club and located on the north shore of Lake Como. There is an outdoor deck with a propane grill, and indoor space in case of rain.
