National Public Lands Day Volunteer Opportunity at Roaring Lion Trail
September 25 @ 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM$15
Come celebrate National Public Lands Day with the Selway Bitterroot Frank Church Foundation and the Bitterroot National Forest as we continue stewardship of the Roaring Lion Creek Trail #124. There is still much work to be done to repair the trail after the destructive fire that burned here in 2016. Volunteers will assist with clearing fallen trees, brushing, cleaning drains, and redefining the trail tread.
National Public Lands Day is the nation’s largest, single-day volunteer effort to benefit public lands. Your contributions will help ensure that public lands remain accessible and beautiful places for all to enjoy.
Schedule: 9 AM MST – 3 PM MST
Trailhead: Roaring Lion Road, Hamilton, MT: https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/bitterroot/recarea/?recid=60272

Bring: work gloves, sturdy hiking/work boots, long pants and long-sleeved shirt, and water.
