Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP) is hosting open houses across the state this month to gather input on proposed fishing regulations, and the Missoula meeting is set for Thursday, August 29 at 6 p.m. at the DoubleTree Hotel (100 Madison St). Fishing regulations undergo a thorough review every four years. This spring, FWP conducted an online survey that contained ideas and proposals for regulation changes. FWP staff also met with angling and recreational groups across the state. That input was used to craft the tentative regulations that are now out for review and comment online at fwp.mt.gov. To find out more and provide comments, attend the Missoula meeting or other open houses across the state. Input can also be submitted online at fwp.mt.gov, via email at FWPregs20@mt.gov; or by mail to Fishing Regulations, P.O. Box 200701, Helena, MT 59620. FWP will accept public comment through Sept. 15.
