Canning & Food Preservation for Beginners

Whatever you call it–Cottagecore cool, a homesteading skill, prepping, or good old-fashioned know-how–canning and food preservation are for everyone. During this beginner-friendly class, Kimberly Richardson of the Ravalli Extension Office will teach you how to safely can using research-based, up-to-date techniques.
Between this class and simple items you probably already have in your kitchen, you’ll be able to stock your pantry, save on groceries, and prepare shelf-stable delights, all without giving yourself a foodborne illness.
