Lolo National Forest settles some lawsuits

Lolo National Forest officials have announced that out of court settlement agreements have been reached with some environmental groups resolving two separate lawsuits. One settlement agreement resolves a legal complaint filed by Alliance for the Wild Rockies and the Ecology Center over the proposed Rock Creek Fuel Hazard Reduction Project. More...

Stevensville Community Center on the way

The effort, launched a few years ago by members of the Stevensville Community Foundation, in league with the Stevensville School District, to build a Community Center to serve both the interests of the community and the school is now one step closer to reality. Board members of the Stevensville Community Foundation recently created a new separate corporation, called the Stevensville Community Center Complex, Inc., to design, fund, construct and operate the proposed facility.
