April 13, 2009 The Stevensville Town Council will hold a public hearing in the Town Hall at 206 Buck Street, Stevensville, MT on Monday, April 13th from 7:00 pm to 7:30 pm for the purpose of obtaining public comments regarding the community development needs and priorities of the Town of Stevensville for economic development, housing and community revitalization, and public facilities, and particularly as those needs affect low and moderate income persons. The Town is considering submitting an application to the Montana Department of Commerce for a Community Development Block Grant -Economic Development Program (CDBG-ED) grant, and wants to obtain public comment on the needs of the community. The Mayor and Town Council will discuss the purpose of the CDBG-ED Program and the variety of activities eligible for funding. At the public hearing, everyone will be given the opportunity to express their opinions regarding the countys needs and the type of projects that should be considered. Comments may be given orally at the hearing or submitted in writing before 5 :00 P.M. April 18th. Anyone who would like more information or who wants to submit suggestions should contact Julie Foster, Ravalli County Economic Development Authority, Executive Director, at 406-375-9416, during regular office hours, or by mailing to RCEDA, 105 East Main, Hamilton, MT 59840.
